The funds were used to attract renowned Sculptors Andy Townsend and Suzie Bleach to Yass High School.
Years 9 and 10 art classes were given materials and educated on how to create their own sculptures over two days. These artworks were exhibited in a student only exhibition at Cooma Cottage for the duration of Sculpture in the Paddock.
On Monday October 12, the students were all presented with their own tool kit and a piece of soapstone to encourage them to continue to grow as sculptors.
Both Andy Townsend and Suzie Bleach travelled from Braidwood to Cooma Cottage to present the students with their gifts. Al Phemister was also presented with a gift from the National Trust and School for the time and effort he has donated to the community.
