The Bowning community would like to welcome Todd home. Todd spent weeks in Westmead Hospital and from watching his brave recovery on social media I have to say Todd you are an inspiration to us all. I would also like to say on behalf of the community that if the Boulding family need any help at all just let us know and we will do our best and jump onboard.

Bowning Rural Fire Brigade
The Bowning Fire Station Open Day is on October 25. Bring the family along and show our guys we appreciate all they do to protect our families and our properties. These people train local and attend training sessions voluntarily. Please note fire permits are required now and obtaining one is free and easy. Contact Sam Kelly or the Yass Fire Control Centre.
Bus shelter
Due to unforeseen circumstances we did not get to start the Bus Shelter Makeover in the second week of the school holidays. That does not mean the project has been forgotten. I will contact parents of the children who catch the bus at Edith’s store or they are welcome to contact me and work out starting date. Thank you for your patience.
Apologies
My deepest apologies go out to The Bowning Hall Committee, The Bowning and District Lions Club, The Red Cross and the volunteers who helped with the Kangaroo March on September 17. I misinterpreted information and upset many who spent their own time volunteering for the event. For all those who volunteered and did not get a mention please know as a volunteer myself, I am proud of you and of what Bowning has achieved and it is a day which is now written in the history books. It was fantastic to see a community come together and for the mistake made that upset so many, I personally apologise.
Dates to mark on the calendar
Every Friday Bowning Playgroup goes from 9.30-11.30am. All welcome for a gold coin donation.
Every Sunday at the Bowning Hall ballet lessons are run by Cecile starting at 1.30pm for the younger children and 2pm for primary and up.
October 25: Bowning Fire Brigade Open Day.
October 31: Halloween Fundraising Disco.
November 15: A Country Fair.
December 13: Bowning Kids Christmas Party.
