My name is Lauren Arentz and I'm from Tumut. I have been doing family history research most of my life on my mum's side of the family and I have had a few relatives that used to live in Yass.

We were originally from Yass. Some are buried in the Catholic and Methodist sections, as well as the lawn cemetery at Yass.
My mum grew up in Yass, her name was Dianne Arentz (nee Wilson) and she later moved to Tumut. My Nan was Marlene Wilson (nee Sexton), late of Yass.
Ever since I was young I have wanted to find out more about my family. I am very interested in Yass history also and I used to visit the Yass museum when I came to town. I have put a photo and information of the Sextons under the door at the museum and I will visit again when it's open.
My great grandfather was Mick Sexton, who I never met as he passed away in 1971. I met my great grandmother Zeta Sexton (nee Gozzard) before she passed away in 1989. Her mother was Eva Gillespie.
Mick Sexton used to work at Sheekey's Bake House and the Cordial Factory and tea rooms, he was from Derringullen near Yass. The Sexton family used to own the Yass Caravan Park in the 1970s.
Mick's wife Zeta had three children; Marlene and twins Tony and Carney, now all deceased. I'm only young and I value history from Australia and Yass.
I'm seeking information on the Sexton family, both past and present. I am very proud of my family history and look forward to hearing from anyone with information.
You will find me on Facebook under Loz Arentz, or you can call 0467473217.
Many thanks.
