Last weekend at the Yass Golf Club, it was Graham Fleming who came in with the score to beat, with a fine 43 points carded to take out the A grade prize for the day. In the B grade, Alex Walker came in with 40 points, while in the C grade, Gerard Kerin had 41 points. Kym Butler came home well, with an Eagle on the 18th hole to pick up five points after getting the nearest the pin on the 16th hole.

In Sunday’s three stick Stableford event, Alex Walker backed up his win on the Saturday to have an outstanding 39 points with only three sticks in the bag.
The ACT Monaro DGA Pennant competition kick off last week with the Seniors Masters Handicap Division 2 teams descending to Yass. Last year’s Premiers, Yass had a stable win over Gungahlin Lakes, 3 ½ to 2 ½. On Sunday the Handicap side headed to Gungahlin lakes to take on Murrumbidgee, and came home victorious with a 4 ½ to 1 ½ win, while the B Scratch side took on Belconnen at Yowani, and came in half a point short to go down 2 ½ to 3 ½.
Next week the A reserve boys start their 2016 campaign, taking on Goulbourn in Yass. The Seniors gents are against Braidwood at Braidwood, the Scratch side take on Federal at Gold Creek, while the Handicap side are heading to Queanbeyan to take them on.
