Kim and Rocky Henderson’s ‘Grogansworth’ Merino Stud came out on top with the Supreme Exhibitor ribbon, while the Group of Five Rams was won by Graham and Margaret Privett of Glenleigh Stud.
The remaining ribbons were shared around four studs: Grogansworth, Glenleigh, Paul Luff’s Bontara Merino Stud, Gundagai and Sam and Gillian Bucknell’s Otterbourne Merino Stud.
In the Flock Merinos, Tony Armour and family scored the Grand Champion Flock Merino Ewe, as judged by Malcolm Day of Echo Merino Stud.
Hot on the heels of the Armours were Ashley Wilson and family and Graham Robinson and family, with the three exhibitors dividing the remaining awards between them.
Chief Steward Sam Bucknell was over the moon with the sheep entries.
“I was overwhelmed with the support from the exhibitors.
The season has been tough and Sydney’s [Royal Easter Show] is over, but they came out in force.
It far exceeded my expectations."
