A male driver in his 70s and his female passenger were taken to Canberra Hospital for assessment of minor injuries following the accident, which occurred some 200 metres from the Green Street entrance into town.
Some of the cattle had to be euthanised at the scene while others were taken to the saleyards for further inspection.
The truck was heading towards Yass when it rolled over and police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
Emergency services, stock and station agents and Local Land Services personnel offered assistance.
