This was in conjunction with the Roos match against the Boorowa Rovers, from 1pm at the Gunning Showground.
Both communities associated with the teams have been rocked by a spate of suicides recently and in previous years.
There was a marquee at the grounds and the keynote speaker was beyondblue official ambassador, Hailey Pye.
A member of the Pye family of Dalton, she lost her brother to suicide some years ago.
The Gunning Roos took to the paddock in specially designed footy jumpers sporting indigenous motifs.
The jumpers were auctioned off after the match, initially through a silent auction, with the highest bid becoming the opening bid for the formal auction that followed after the game, which saw the fighting Roos triumph over the courageous Rovers, 30 to 10.
Roos Club president Ian Blackburn was auctioneer and there was intense interest in the unique items.
An impressive array of raffle prizes on offer included a load of wood, an entire sheep professionally prepared for home use, a full set of tyres, together with numerous vouchers for food and services.
