Burrinjuck has seen a steady increase back into some clarity since the first 2 rain events. And fishing has been coming back into focus for a lot of anglers. Those that are slugging it out are seeing some successes. Those looking to venture out should look behind Wade Island as the clarity from the Goodradigbee is serving this area of water better.

Down the South Coast there is a lot of fresh and dirty water entering a lot of the estuaries. Most are a solid Hue of brown. But there is good news stories with Tailor, Bream and some flathead still able to be caught in the 3-5m range.

With the added water a lot of food and nutrients are also assisting for those on the beach. The annual run of Salmon are starting to show in large numbers. And even the occasion Jew fish has been seen within the gutters. Chasing these with a large Pilly on gang hooks is the best method. And Low light periods prove to be the most successful.

Wyangala has been very quiet of late but the increase of water will surely start to stir a few fish to feed over the coming weeks. Keep an ear and eye to the ground. It could get very interesting very soon here.

Most notable of all locations is Blowering. It has been increasing in level for the past 3 weeks and is not far from surpassing the 70% mark. All reports from Blowering are the water is still relatively clear. And the Big winter Cod are moving and looking for a feed. Throwing big baits such as Spinnerbaits, Plastic, Mumblers and even trolling Deep Divers is turning a few scales. Any of the large steep walls within the dam are holding fish and fishing in about 6-8 metres of water is your best bet.

With the water clarity due to increase over the coming weeks it's best to get your winter woollies in order and get out amongst the fish. There is some big fish on offer if you’re prepared to weather the cold.
