The song ‘Serenity’ was penned in the lead up to Gundaroo local, Scott Windsor’s death in April 2015, after a two-and-a-half year battle with MND.
Cam ‘CC’ Hall, from Canberra, who played in a band with Scott, took to using his musical ability to help raise awareness of the cause and document the challenges in the face of MND.
“I had never met anyone with the disease until Scott,” he said. “Now it seems I know a lot of people who are suffering from neuron related illnesses, including my wife.”
Since it’s first recording in 2015, ‘Serenity’ has been played thousands of times.
“It expresses the difficulty of anyone living with an illness especially MND,” he said.
“I played it last year at the Gundaroo Music Festival, this year I will play it with my daughter.”
Cam will play at the Gundaroo Music Festival on October 8, from 12 noon.
