Both teams lined up determined to make the final match of the season count.
It was a valiant effort from Yass but they could not counter the Boars’ attack, losing 46–5.
Batemans Bay started strongly, scoring several tries early to set up a solid lead.
Yass fought back in defence with some spirited effort from Clancy Richard, Hamish Medway and Sam Glover.
D’artagnan Felizardo and Oskar Allan worked hard in the rucks.
Poppy Richards used her speed to run down several breakaways.
Henry McColl found a gap late in the second half to score a consolation try, which was unconverted
Yass will line up against Batemans Bay again next week in the quarter final.
The team has set themselves a tough training schedule this week to try to counter the Boars’ strong attacking game.
