Ryan Forlonge made the semi-finals for the NSWCHS at the National Youth Championships.
Fellow Yass players Adam Bell, Billy Beck and Benjamin Wylie represented the ACT in the inaugural Alliance Cup.
The ACT defeated Victoria 9–8 in a quarter final but came up short against SA in the semi final.
In the women’s, the ACT defeated Victoria 8–1 in the final to be crowned women’s champions.
“It was great to be part of the inaugural tournament, and because the women’s ACT team came first and we came third, we got most points so we won the Alliance Cup,” Benjamin Wylie said.
Yass local and teacher Sophie Broadhead was awarded the player of the match award in the women’s division.
The Alliance Cup is a new concept being introduced by Touch Football Australia (TFA).
