Greendale Uniting Church Fete and Anniversary Service this weekend

Yass Hospital Manager Warren Rivett was given the privilege of meeting the two USA candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump at his farewell afternoon tea held at the Yass Hospital on Wednesday October 12. The staff are sad to see Warren leave and wondered if perhaps one could be Warren’s replacement? Photo: supplied.

Feng Shui and the art of harmonising at Probus

Thirty eight members attended the September Yass Probus meeting where both speakers were eagerly heard.

Probus member Trixie Cox reminded the meeting that it was National Stroke Week, and talked of the urgency of recognising the symptoms and of getting fast treatment if a stroke is suspected.

Guest speaker Shelley Singh – a Master Consultant in Feng Shui – gave a very interesting insight into this art and how it can be used to bring balance into our lives by using the energy around us.

It is a Chinese philosophical system of harmonising everyone with the surrounding environment.

Feng Shui is closely linked to Daoism and translates in English as "wind-water".

The next Probus meeting is Thursday, October 20 at 10am at the Yass Soldiers Club.

Everyone is welcome to attend and hear Probus guest speaker Uschi Howard talk about travel and her journey from Germany to Australia immediately after WW11.

THANK YOU

The family of Max Wilson would like to express its gratitude for everyone’s care, support, kind words, cards and flowers.

Special thank you to Thomas Eccles Garden and Dr Raja.
