Borambola Sport and Recreation Centre, situated on the banks of the beautiful Tarcutta Creek near Wagga Wagga is hosting this fun, social weekend of sport and recreation for seniors.
Activities include aqua aerobics, archery, craft, dancing, fishing, kayaking, life ball, pole walking, morning walks, tai chi, tennis and themed activity nights.
“This is a great opportunity for older residents to take advantage of fun outdoor recreation tailored to their needs,” said Sport and Recreation’s Cluster Coordinator Pauline Santin.
“Participants can decide their own level of involvement with a variety of day and evening activities fully supervised by qualified and experienced staff”.
“The concept of healthy residential programs has been evaluated extensively with the outcomes showing that a large percentage of the participants gained immediate and long term benefits,
including improved confidence, and greater motivation to stay well and to be more active,” Ms Santin said.
Bookings are $240 per person ($220 early bird), which includes meals, accommodation and activities.
