A man has died in hospital from his injuries sustained in a single vehicle crash near Yass on Saturday, October 22.

About 7.30am on Saturday, a 40-year-old man was driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer north along the Hume Highway, Bowning, about 15km north west of Yass, when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
Witnesses went to the assistance of the driver, before he was treated by Ambulance Paramedics and taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.
Police received information from the Australian Federal Police that the man died in Canberra Hospital on Sunday, October 23.
Officers from The Hume Local Area Command continue to investigate the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
SPEEDING
Police stopped a 37-year-old man driving 174km/h along the Hume Highway on Sunday, October 23.
The Chinese International had his licence suspended on the spot and received a $2,350 fine for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
POSITIVE DRUG DRIVING TEST
A 26-year-old female from Yass was stopped by police on Church Street at 2.28pm on October 17. She was subjected to a random drug and breath test. Her oral fluid tested positive to Cannabis. She was taken to Yass Police Station for a secondary sample, which was sent away for further analysis.
