It’s set to be a cracking weekend in Yass with hundreds of people expected to flock to the historic town for the two-day extravaganza.

There will also be music and market stalls, with the whole family encouraged to head along for a great weekend out.
Vehicles on display include: A 1954 Kieft, DeSoto sports from Victoria, the 1906 Darracq, Fords from 1922and several Mustangs.
A feature of the Classic Yass is the Billy Cart Derby with all ages taking to the track in billy carts of all shapes and sizes.
The day will also feature the normal Rock and Roll bands including some local performers.
The Hips will perform again at the Twist and Shout 60s Dance Party from 8pm at the Yass Soldiers Club. Tickets are available at the door for $15 or pre-booked at the Classic Yass for $10.
On the Sunday at the historic Cooma Cottage there will be fabulous cars, a show and shine, competitions for the best old time fashion, heavy horse displays, vintage farm machinery in action, a World War 1 military re-enactment, music and food and drink for all the family.
A feature will be the mighty MAB with a 27L aircraft engine, enough to make the ground shake when it starts up.

This event will mark the culmination of the Highway 31 historic car rally celebrating the heritage listing of the Hume Highway and the National Trusts historic sites and houses along the way.
This event is particularly important to Yass, due to its historic link with both Hume and the Hume Highway.
On both days Yass Scout Markets and Yass Rotary Farmers market will keep you browsing for hours.
- There will also be a book launch for,’Hamilton Hume, our Greatest Explorer’ by Robert Macklin at lunch time.
