The Yass Clay Target Clubs Christmas Competition was held on Sunday, December 17. With gale force winds on the Saturday and the looming visit from Santa, only a small group of shooters (21) attended the competition. All enjoyed the day with perfect weather conditions.

With only two events, the 75 Target Champion of Champions from 18m challenged all of the shooters. This event involved 15 targets double barrel, 25 targets single barrel and 25 targets point score.
Craig Crossan, who joined the Yass Clay Target Club in 2016, took out the honours in C grade with a score of 81/125. Gilly Box also shot well with second place in C grade to take out the 25 target handicap event.
Box recently attended the NSW state trap carnival in Wagga Wagga. He came third in C grade in the 50 Target NSWCTA Point score Championship. Congratulations to both Crossan and Box.
Matt Harris took out the High Gun for the day, as the overall winner of the Champion of Champions. Sharon McDonald won the 25 Target Graded Handicap, after a shoot-off with Harris.
The Yass Clay Target Club’s most recent competition was held on Sunday, January 15. It was a 25 target double barrel, 50 target point score championship and a 25 target single barrel. The weather was a warm but perfect day out at Stoney Creek on Sunday. A full report of results and winners will be provided.
