The multi-award winning actress and comedian Noeline Brown has just celebrated her 50th year in show business.
She is well-known for her appearance in TV programs including; Would You Believe?, Daily at Dawn, Blankety Blanks with Graham Kennedy, Beauty and the Beast and most recently the popular Dancing with the Stars.
“We are thrilled to have such a well-known actress as our Ambassador for next year’s Australia Day BBQ,” said Yass Valley Mayor, Rowena Abbey. “I have such fantastic memories of watching Noeline on TV in Blankety Blanks and look forward to welcoming her to the Yass Valley.”
On Thursday some residents from the local community will be presented with prestigious awards, such as the Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, Community Group of the Year and Individual Community Service Awards.
Australia Day Activities around Yass Valley
Yass: Yass Valley’s Australia Day Breakfast, held in Coronation Park, supported by the Rotary Club of Yass, providing breakfast in the park from 7am, with the Citizenship and Awards Ceremony commencing at 8:00am.
Murrumbateman: A free BBQ at Jones Park from 7am utill 10.15am supported by the Murrumbateman Lions Club. Drinks, tea and coffee as well as a display of the Murrumbateman RFS fire truck.
