At the end of the night, Wilkinson said the race to be crowned champions of the 51st event is “still a close race to the finish between all towns”.
“So make sure you get as many swimmers to Jugiong on Saturday,” he said.
Jugiong is performing strongly, leading the Shine Shield and T Sheehan Trophy. In the former, Jugiong sits first at 1425 points with Harden at 1366, Yass at 1257 and Binalong at 1176. All swimmers get a point for participation no matter if they do not score podium finishes.
A full report about the Shine Shield and full results will be provided at the completion of the final round at Jugiong Swimming Pool on Saturday, January 21.
