Thirty-one shooters aged 13–80 competed in all three events in hot but perfect shooting weather conditions. It was a fantastic day at the Stoney Creek Club.
Visiting the club for the first time was Greg Harris. Greg performed exceptionally well, winning High Gun for the day with a score of 191/200.
Greg also recently attended the 2017 ISSF National competitions in Perth and, although he did not place, he certainly had a fantastic experience competing against some of Australia’s best shooters.
The club is also fortunate that Cliff Dykes from Cowra came to compete and brought three of NSW’s newest shooters: Pat and Sam Dun (13-year-old twins) and their older brother Matt (15-years-old).
They have been shooting for about six months and showed great enthusiasm, professionalism and skill. All three boys won an event in C Grade and the club looks forward to watching these boys in the future.
The club’s next event is the 25 Target Leigh Pateman Handicap Trophy on Sunday, February 18, starting at 10am. A 50 target double barrel cash divide and a 25 target single barrel cash trophy will also be held.
Please remember that the club does not shoot during total fire bans, so keep your eyes on the club’s Facebook page for updates.
