If you missed the pre-Christmas ‘Yass Through Different Eyes’ exhibition of Roger Buckman’s travel posters of Yass Valley, there is a display now open at the Yass Visitor Information Centre. Framed limited edition prints of local feature hope to offer visitors and residents alike a view from outside, of what we often take for granted. Yass Arts Inc. have a regular display at the centre and this collection will be there, available for sale.

Yass Day VIEW
The AGM of Yass Day VIEW was held on February 8. Zone Councillor June Weise inducted the incoming committee consisting of: President, Margaret Buckmaster; Vice-President, Chris Anderson; Secretary, Lorraine Legge; Treasurer, Kay Perceval; Assistant Treasurer, Mary Abernethy; Delegate, Chris Anderson; Program Officers, Bev Smith and Robyn Allen; and Publicity Officer, Leigh Brown. The position of Assistant Secretary is vacant.
Our guest speaker, Walter Dirix from ZooHause in Murrumbateman was very informative and interesting. In 2016, ZooHause won Pet Services of Excellence Award from the National Pet Industry Association of Australia.
The next meeting of Yass Day VIEW will be Tuesday, March 14 at the Golf Club. Our guest speaker will be Pixie Cox from the Stroke Foundation. Please be there at 11.30am, so the meeting can begin at 11.45am. Inform Kay Perceval (62263567) or Mary Abernethy (62261559) of any guests and apologies before 6pm Sunday, March 12.
An outing to the Old Tuggeranong Schoolhouse is planned for March 21. Please contact Bev or Robyn if you would like to go
Crazy Whist
There is chance to raise up to $500. Crazy Whist cards, on a Monday afternoon between 1:30pm and 4pm, is looking for someone to fill a vacant five week slot.
What would you need to do? Set up tables, collect $5 entry, afternoon tea and clean up afterwards.
Costs include: providing small prizes (1st, boobie and door) each week and aggregate prize, afternoon tea and hall rental.
