A 50-year-old is in a serious but stable condition after his truck collided with a tree on Yeo Crescent in Yass.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene at around 11.50pm on Monday night.
Police say the Queensland man lost control of his 3.7 tonne truck on the Yass residential street and ploughed heavily, front-on into a large tree on the side of the road.
The man was conveyed by the Snowy Hydro SouthCare directly to Canberra Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident.
