Double demerits started on April 21 and continue until midnight on Tuesday, April 25. Police will target speeding, mobile phone, seat belt and helmet offences. In partnership with NSW police, NSW Road Safety have developed the ‘Double Demerits – Think Twice’ road safety campaign to encourage safe driver behaviour on our roads. The campaign reminds drivers and riders that the consequences for breaking road rules are more severe during double-demerit periods.
