Ashley Michael Charnock, 33, of Queanbeyan, came before Yass Local Court on Thursday, April 13, charged with middle-range drink-driving.

Police facts tendered in court said on Saturday, February 18 at 1.20am, Charnock was driving a car east on Comur Street. Police, directly behind his car, directed him to stop by activating warning devices.
He was given a breath test, which indicated a positive result, and arrested and taken to Yass Police Station for a breath analysis. It indicated a result of 0.133 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
Charnock said he had begun drinking at 8pm the previous night, up to four or five schooners of beer, and had not consumed any food.
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie fined Charnock $1500 and disqualified him from driving for eight months.
Kristine Lia Fitzharris, 52, of Yass, also came before court charged with low-range drink-driving.
Police facts tendered in court said on Saturday, February 25 at 10.10am, Fitzharris was driving a vehicle east along Pritchett Street.
At the intersection of Pritchett and Polding, a police patrol noticed she failed to stop at the stop sign and line. Police officers gave Fitzharris a breath test, which returned a positive result.
She was arrested and taken to Yass Police Station for a further breath analysis. It returned a positive result of 0.068 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
Fitzharris said she had consumed glasses of wine at a licensed premise and her home the night prior.
She was unable to recall how many drinks she consumed before she had retired to bed.
Magistrate Geraldine Beattie fined Fitzharris $750 and disqualified her from driving for three months.
