The Regional Growth Fund will deliver $1 billion to help develop transport, energy and water projects, with an extra $300 million devoted to community and cultural facilities, on top of an existing $300 million for environment and tourism assets.
Member for Goulburn Pru Goward said she will work with the community, local government and industry groups to identify projects that will benefit Yass Valley region and help develop the business cases to secure funding approved.
“The Regional Growth Fund represents a new, more streamlined and responsive approach to investment in NSW, where we will work with proponents throughout the application process to give them a much higher chance of success,” Ms Goward said.
“We’re looking for projects that will promote local economic growth and benefit the whole community, and we will work together to make it happen.
“As your local MP, I encourage you to contact my office so I can work with you to workshop projects and develop a robust business proposal that we can submit for funding.”
Deputy Premier Barilaro said the fund will support projects like building or upgrading power, transport and telecommunications links; improving water and sewerage services; enhancing voice and data connectivity and upgrading sporting facilities.
“I will be travelling around regional NSW and hosting a series of workshops to explain how the Regional Growth Fund can benefit regional NSW, and more importantly to listen to your ideas.” For more: https://goo.gl/eZ2GX1.
