Lynette Baker, Coordinator of the support service, was confident that it never faced a threat from the audits.
“It was a relief, and we’re very proud I suppose that we’re getting some recognition for the job that we’re doing,” Ms Baker said.
“It’s also part of our job to make sure we’re doing things right all the time anyway.
“We had confidence that we were doing things in accordance with our funding agreements and following ethical principles.”
The HLSS is part of the Council’s Community Services Unit, and assists roughly 500 people around the Yass Valley region.
It provides disability and aged care services, which were tested in the audits.
