One of the tradesmen, who was in the midst of sweeping clear the debris from the worksite, was more than happy to enlighten the Tribune about the development taking place on the main street.
What did it look like?
Gravel has been strewn all over the pavement, and the paving stones themselves have been stripped one by one to reveal the earth beneath.
Furrows had been dug into the bare earth, and the area was roped off to prevent pedestrians from stumbling into the site.
What’s with all the digging?
The reason for the construction is to replace the NBN cables underneath the NAB branch with brand new Telstra cables.
How long will it take?
The project was finished on Monday.
