On Thursday I was asked to present a Norman Lindsay oil painting to the Goulburn Region Art Gallery on behalf of the NSW Police Force.

The artwork is titled "Woman and Satyr". Whilst I am not an avid art lover, since the presentation was covered by local media it is fair to say that it has created some colourful conversations in the local community. As I said, I am not an art critic, but I don't mind it.
The artwork will be on loan at the Goulburn Regional Art Gallery for the next 12 months, so I encourage everyone to have a look and judge for yourself.
On Saturday I was privileged to lead the Hume Local Area Command in remembering our fallen officers.
Over 1,000 police officers and their colleagues and friends took part in the eighth annual Wall to Wall: Ride for Remembrance. They set out from the Domain and made their way through Goulburn to the National Police Memorial in Canberra.
The ride commemorates those officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice in the services of their communities and funds raised assist their families and promotes motorcycle safety. A very special day for the police family. Locally we remember Graeme Lees, Shelley Davis, Anthony Streher and Samuel Nelson. May they rest in peace.
Your police continue to do great work. We continue to respond to all manner of jobs and investigate more serious crime. So let's talk about crime. We continue to get regular seizures of drug being transported along the Hume Highway and into our towns. I urge everyone to assist us in cracking down on drugs, no matter what kind. I have always said that the community are our eyes and ears, and we are only as effective as the information that comes in. Your police cannot solve or make an impact on the ongoing drug issue within our communities without your direct help.
Our area has drugs, like everywhere in NSW and Australia. We are not immune. So this week’s message is if you see something or know of something, report it.
You can contact your local police station or report via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. All information is treated with the strictest confidence and information can be conveyed anonymously. All information helps and it will help us to continue our fight against drugs. We are always investigating drug crime and my officers are more than happy to execute search warrants, pull over people and their cars and disrupt the use, manufacture and supply of illicit drugs. Reduced drugs on our streets, equates to a safer place for us and our children to live.
