More than 500 walkers attended the annual Bowning Hill Walk on Sunday September 24 to raise funds for Yass Valley Can Assist.
The organisation is still tallying the total raised for cancer patients in the area.
Cheryl Scorgie, one of the event organisers, said they could not have asked for a better turnout.
“From all accounts, people just loved it,” she said.
“The event was brilliant. We couldn’t have asked for a better turnout.”
The event was a bushranger theme with a purpose-built Old Bowning Town erected at the base of the hill, which included re-enactments from the bushrangers.
“It was a huge effort to put all that together – everyone involved donated their own time, it was just wonderful,” Ms Scorgie said.
