Detected driving at a speed dangerous to the public

A 20-year-old male driver from Queensland was detected at 191km/h on the Hume Highway at Bowning.

At about 10.35pm on Sunday October 8, Yass Highway Patrol (YHP) detected the Kia Carnival travelling at 81km/h than the signposted 110km/h area.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver was spoken to by YHP.

He was issued a Court Attendance Notice and will appear before Yass Local Court in November for driving at a “speed dangerous to the public”.

His driving privilege to drive in NSW were suspended until the court date.
