The Classic Yass will welcome the Alpine Classic as part of its lineup this year, and both will take place across November 4 and 5.
The Alpine Classic is a two-day event which encompasses the fun of orienteering with the glamour of vintage cars coursing along local roads.
It is in its eighteenth year, and organisers sought a change of scenery from the hilly surround of Lithgow, and instead decided that Yass would be a worthy venue.
Along with new additions, the Classic Yass event will run many of the same attractions as it does every year, which are proven fan favourites.
There will be, as always, the motor show of classic cars, which promises to draw big crowds with a number of unique and interesting models.
There is also the Billy Cart Derby, which will provide high-octane, homemade fun for all who want to get involved and get their hands dirty. It’s usually a highly competitive event, so entrants will need to bring their A-game.
Additionally, there will also be performances from the Sydney-based band ‘The Hips’, who will be doing songs from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, to add to the nostalgia, along with dance demonstrations from local dance troupes.
There is also a fashion show scheduled to take place among the usual market stalls and cars, which will also take the viewers back to the good old days of anywhere from 1900 to the 70’s.
