Members of the Yass Valley Business Chamber (YVBC) will also organise street music and other entertainment during the nights.

Michael Pilbrow, president of YVBC said they encouraged businesses to stay open until 8pm.

He also encouraged residents to take part.

“The best thing about shopping locally is that you can purchase heaps of presents and it will be less stressful than shopping malls.

“And you don’t have to travel far,” he said.
