Mark Scheffler was the best of them with a fine 44 points to take out Saturday’s B-grade. Angus Winterflood took out the A-grade with 39 points. Other notable scores in B-grade were a 42 to Jack Wales and a 40 to Peter Boutcher.
On Sunday Brendan Abbey continued his recent fine form, with 43 points to take the prize away from Hamish Scroope who hit 41.
This weekend we have Captains verses President Cup sponsored by Turner’s Nursery and the mixed 4BBB championships. Anyone can compete in Saturday’s event, with players being given their side on the day. So why not join us for the challenge between captain Nev and president Mick? Good luck to the mixed teams on Sunday as well for the championships.
Bookings are being taken at the club for next Friday’s Presentation Night and Christmas party, too, which will celebrate 2012.

Dad’s Army November 8
A smaller field of 12 turned up for the Dad's Army competition this week. Maybe the threat of rain, which didn't arrive, turned some away. It would seem that everyone needs to have a lesson from Kirk, as it has enabled Merv ‘Without the Swerve’ Wright to take out the money for a second week in a row with a fine 21 points off his reduced handicap. He was pushed all the way by Les Puckett, Ken Reidy and Barry Topple, all with a score of 20 points, to take out the balls on offer this week. Scoring ranged from 21 down to 13 points.
In the Business House last week, Dad’s Army only managed to get one point for turning up and this week the score is 121.5 We are leading our division with a total of 13 points.
Until next week good golfing ‘boys’.
