This Murray cod, which measured just over one metre, was caught in the Yass River. It was snatched up on silver and purple spinner bait. Pictured with the big fish is (right) Jayden Bitmead and (far right) Jack Ponton.

While Jack got the initial bite, they said it took both of them to pull the fish to land. They were sure to throw the fish back as well, but not before snapping a couple of photos.
