Mums, dads, sons, daughters and, of course, Santa would surely be getting requests to replace the lost and damaged gear from the last 12 months.
The Catch a Carp day on the November 24 was a great success, with 227 people registered to fish. A total of 174 carp were weighed in, with a total weight of 241.85 kilos. A very good effort by all those who took part.
It was great to see so many kids enjoy a day out fishing with their parents, brothers and sisters or just a couple of mates. The behaviour and manners of the people involved on the day was excellent.
A special thanks to all those people involved in the organisation and running of the event.
Also to the sponsors, whose assistance was much appreciated.

Herb's son, Josh also got in on the act, with a fish of 3.22kg.

Graham's brother Barry landed a cat fish weighing 1.49kg.
Rob Pollack also managed a cat fish at 1.67kg and number of yellow belly to take the points for the weekend.
Rob's brother Chris and his crew of Craig and Spud caught nothing but they did it in comfort on board Chris' new boat.
On behalf of all our members I would like to offer our condolence to Helen and Barry Bush and their family on the passing of Helen's dad, Ken Armour, may he rest in peace.
I will finish by wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. God bless you all and may all the fish you catch be big, and fight like a ‘bag of cats’.
