Students from Dazzle Dance Academy in Murrumbateman had a very busy school holidays with multiple eisteddfods and performances around the region. Both soloists and three troupes achieved some fabulous results at both the Goulburn and Brindabella (Canberra) eisteddfods.

The most notable performance was by young veteran, Mackenzie Ironside, who was awarded first-place in the eight and under tap section and was highly commended for her classical ballet routine at the Goulburn eisteddfod. She was also presented with the Buckley Local Talent Award for being the most outstanding dancer in the Goulburn region. Mackenzie then went on to back up those performances at the Brindabella eisteddfod and was highly commended for her jazz, classical ballet and tap routines.
Other successful students at the Goulburn eisteddfod included Aleia Smith who came first for her 12 and under classical ballet routine, along with a highly commended award for her jazz; and Holly Fleming who won first-place in her 12 and under jazz section. Both of these girls were also highly commended for their routines in the Brindabella eisteddfod held at the Erindale Theatre in Canberra.
The Dazzle Dance Academy’s three troupes also performed at Brindabella. The Junior Troupe (eight and under) was highly commended for their jazz routine, and the Intermediate Troupe (10 and under) had success with both their jazz and lyrical routines and were highly commended for both. The Senior Troupe also produced a promising performance in their first time together on stage.
The academy then went on to entertain the crowd at Floriade with a wonderful display of routines. Those and more will be on show at the Murrumbateman Field Days this weekend.
