COOMA: A driver had a lucky escape after his vehicle became trapped in rising waters at the Commissioner Street causeway in Cooma on Wednesday. The green P-plater was rescued by Cooma Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) officers who assisted the man from his vehicle via the window and into the fire truck. Emergency services were called to the scene at 6am where they discovered a white sedan trapped in the flooded causeway. Photo Cooma Monaro Express.

GOULBURN: IT may be called Little Shop Of Horrors, but the internationally-renowned rock musical is far from terrifying. Preparing for their production are Mulwaree High School students Thomas Bensley (Seymour), Connor McGuinness (Mushnik), Maddy Lamb (Audrey’s understudy), Rhys Neal (vino) and Philip Mills as the voice of Audrey II. Inside the puppet is one of two puppeteers Thomas Blowes.

GOULBURN: The former TAFE ceramics room, currently used as a storage space for the Conservatorium, is one of the locations being explored for a Goulburn Performing Arts Centre. SUMMIT SUN: The Lake Light Sculpture has continued to be a drawcard for tourists to visit Jindabyne each Easter, and this year’s event again proved highly popular with record numbers of people visiting from all over to view the sculptures. YASS: Saturday April 11 The Western Sydney Historic Truck Club will once again hold Haulin' the Hume. This visually spectacular 290km drive sees the roads lined with people waving the trucks on along this nostalgic piece of road. The event raises money for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) with collections along the route and an evening celebration in Yass.

HARD work has paid off for former local Nicole Robinson who now holds two national titles to her name. Nicole competed at the NSW Masters Athletics competition in March where she excelled in her categories.
