A forecast report from the Bureau of Meteorology read that a combination of a high pressure system over the Northern Tasman Sea with a broad low pressure system will lead to warm daytime temperatures.
Temperatures in Goulburn are predicted to reach a maximum of 29 degrees celsius with north and north-westerly winds blowing at speeds of 25 to 40 km/h.
In Crookwell temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 27 degrees celsius with north-westerly winds blowing between 30 and 45 km/h.
The weather situation will be similar in both Braidwood and Yass.
On Monday, temperatures are expected to return to September norm with Goulburn, and Crookwell predicting tops of 17 and 15 degrees celsius respectively.
In light of the warm temperatures and high winds, the NSW Rural Fire Service released a statement to urge Southern Tablelands residents to defer conducting burning activities.
“With the weather that is forecast and the lack of rain experienced in recent times, the fire danger rating is expected to increase to at least Very High for Saturday 23rd September in particular,” Inspector Kennerley said.
““Residents and landowners are advised to defer conducting pile burns and hazard reduction burning until conditions become more favorable.”
