The Yass ladies’ golf took place on Wednesday, under blue skies on a warm spring day. It looked as though rain was expected at one point, but it was staved off and the golf allowed to continue uninterrupted.
It was an evenly contested day; all the players were in good form and the spirits were high ahead of what looked to be a fine day of golf.
The outstanding results from the day’s play are as follows:
The winner of the Stroke/Medal Round was Cathy Bennett with a fine 68 Nett.
The runner up was Jan Minahan with a 69 Nett.
Putting was won by Jan Minahan on a c/b from Lesley Farquharson.
Ball Comp went to: L Farquharson, Isobel Burden and Ann McIntosh.
Wednesday October 11 is a Stableford event, and Wed October 18 is the foursomes. Players are asked to organise their partners as soon as possible.
A sheet for the Championships is on the Notice Board. They are scheduled to start on Tuesday October 24, so be sure to put your name down if you wish to take part.
