Combined Training is dressage and show jumping with scores from both phases totalled for the final places.
O’Sullivan came away with fourth place in the 11s’ and under 13s’ novice 75cm.
She had a less-than-ideal preparation.
Her main horse (Belle) went lame just prior to the competition. O’Sullivan had to use a substitute horse.
This horse (Jackson) is still owned by the O’Sullivan family but is still young, relatively inexperienced and has conducted only light work.
O’Sullivan’s mother, Glynese Evans said it “was a great weekend all round for Lucy”.
The young rider represented Zone 16 of The Pony Club Association of NSW.
