An afternoon of songs from the 30s, 40s and 50s will raise funds for Yass Valley Can Assist.
Garry Pollack will lead the concert on Sunday, December 10 at 2.30pm at the Crisp Gallery, Hume Highway, Bowning.
He will be joined by the talented accompanist Steven Kreamer.
Mr Pollack has had a varied career having studied economics, Japanese and later completing a diploma of opera from the Sydney Conservatorium.
He was a finalist in the Covent Garden Opera Scholarship and sang professionally in Australia and the UK before developing a career in human resources, which ultimately led to him forming his own consultancy which focuses on leadership development and executive coaching.
He still loves to sing, and loves to return to his hometown to see his family members who still live there.
Can Assist was a wonderful help to Garry¹s family during the illness of his father Kevin.
Geoff Frost, Yass Valley councillor and president of Yass Valley Can Assist said the organisation looked forward to the event.
“We’ve known Garry for a long time, since he was a kid – he’s always been a great community guy around Yass,” Cr Frost said.
“He’s got a great voice and I’m not surprised he’s raising money for Can Assist – that’s just typical of him,” he said.
If you enjoy songs from the Frank Sinatra era and feel like a stroll down memory lane, please join Garry and Steven on December 10.
Tickets are $30 adult, $25 concession and children are free.
They can be purchased at Thyme to Taste or Yass Arts.
