The action comes after it was deemed that the park would not dry out enough for facilities and the stage to be set up.
The event will continue to be on Sunday, December 10.
Activities will start at 5pm at Banjo Paterson Park and carols at 6pm in the hall.
“Despite a few days of sunshine, the ground at Victoria Park will not be dry enough for us to drive the truck that forms the base of our stage onto the oval.
“This year's Yass Community Carols will now be in the Memorial Hall. All the fun and activities will still be on at 5pm in the hall and in Banjo Paterson Park behind the hall. The carols program will start at 6pm,” organisers said.
The event is organised by the combined churches as a gift to the community.
