Prizes were drawn on Saturday, December 16.
Who won it?
The lucky winner was Frank Wheatley, who described the prize as “being as wide as a queen-size bed”.
“It was massive raffle that started weeks ago. I had bought $80 worth of tickets,” he said.
It’s about nine feet tall and weighs about 20kgs.
“There were also other prizes, including push bikes, canoes and little dolls and bit of everything,” Mr Wheatley said.
What will he do with it?
Mr Wheatley will donate the teddy bear to Canberra Hospital in Woden.
He said he wanted to brighten up the lives of sick children before Christmas arrives.
”We’ll take it to where hundreds of kids can benefit from it,” he said. Delivery of the bear should happen no later than this Friday, December 22.
