The Guzzlers Mug brings the heat

The results from the Guzzlers Mug are as follows: the A Grade winner was Michael Coggan with a 73 (8) 65 Net. 

The B Grade winner was Tim Kelly with 74 (12) 62 Net.

The C Grade and the Guzzlers Mug went to Peter Doyle with a fine 88 (27) 61 Net on a countback from Michael Walker. The club congratulated Peter, saying that his victory was “well-deserved”.

The putting competition was won by Anthony Vitler with 24 putts. The club commented that it was “good to see Tug boat back playing”. He won 4 balls for the excellent putting.

Nearest the pole winners were: 8th Tim Kelly with 33cm, 11th Michael Bell with 533cm, 15th Nick Pollack with 170cm and the 16th went to Brendan Abbey who got 90cm.

The club commended their “biggest field for a while” on turning up on a scorcher of a day, which saw 67 players turn up.
