Saturday, January 20

  • Yass Community Market returns for 2018. St Augustine’s Hall, Meehan Street, 9.30am – 1pm.  New stalls and old favourites. Exchange table for home-grown fruit and veg.
  • Wee Jasper Aussie Themed Trivia Night. Wee Jasper Memorial Hall. Sausage sizzle 6-7pm ($2.50), trivia from 7pm ($5). Children under 16 free. BYO drinks and nibbles. Table of 8 or come and let us find you some tablemates. Bring your coins to buy clues. More information contact Chris Garner 6227 9637.

Thursday-Sunday, January 25-28

  • Monstrous Book Fair. National Theatre, Wallace St, Braidwood, (opposite the bakery) Open 9am to 4pm daily. Lots and lots of books for all ages, DVD’s, CD’s, LP’s, magazines and other treasures. Always great value, plenty of terrific and sometimes rare finds. Donations welcome and can be left at the National Theatre any time after 9am Weds 24th Jan and over the weekend period. Australia Day in the Yass Valley

  • YASS: Coronation Park. Rotary will again be cooking up a stellar BBQ Breakfast (free but donations generously accepted!!) followed by Australia Day Awards. Bring a chair or picnic blanket for a lovely morning to celebrate our amazing country. Face painting, jumping castle, playground to keep the children entertained!
  • MURRUMBATEMAN: The Murrumbateman Lions Club would like to invite the Murrumbateman community to the Australia Day breakfast. Come along for this free community event sponsored by the Lions Club of Murrumbateman. Enjoy a free breakfast, drinks and some great company. All are very welcome. Jones Park, Barton Highway, from 7.30am​. Free.
