It comes after Cole Davis, who was announced in December 2017 as the new head coach, had to step down for personal reasons.
Adam, who last played with the the Brahmans in 2009, said club president Ben Spencer approached him with the proposition.
“Originally, I was going back to play. Ben approached me and asked if coaching was something that would interest me. It was and I spoke to Nathan about it, too.
“We agreed to have two coaches,” Adam said.
Besides the aim to be the number one team, Adam said other major goals in 2018 include continuing to build a strong club culture.
“As well as bring along some of the younger blokes from the area into senior footy,” he said.
The club said the two men were excited about the year ahead.
“They bring an array of experience with them. Pete has past experience with the Brahmans and is looking forward to being a part of the positive environment and club culture that the club prides itself on.
“We also wish Cole all the best for him and his family in the coming months,” the club said on Facebook.
The first training session for the Brahmans starts on Tuesday, January 30, followed by trial matches.
