Daniel Osborne, operational officer of the NSW RFS Southern Tablelands Zone, told the Tribune that the investigators were en route to the village.
“The cause of the fire is undetermined at this stage,” Mr Osborne said.
The fire, which started around 2.30pm, destroyed the Wee Jasper Stables Tavern, four cabins and a utility vehicle.
Two Wee Jasper NSW RFS crews are currently at the site to monitor it in case of reignition.
Mr Osborne said there were no reported injuries among the crews and residents.
They’re a small community, but today they’re supporting each other and will continue to do so.

He thanked and praised the efforts of residents for their assistance.
“They were very good to work with.
“Some of them assisted our crews through warning others and by providing intelligence when they called 000.
“That information was critical to initiate a response quicker.
“They’re a small community, but today they’re supporting each other and will continue to do so,” Mr Osborne said.
Emergency crews that attended include those from Wee Jasper, Mullion, Cavan and Good Hope.
The Wee Jasper Bridge was not affected or damaged.
