The Red Cross Calling campaign takes place in March and it aims to bring communities together in a show of support for people in Australia and overseas who have fallen on tough times.
Yass Red Cross will be hosting the door knock event for Red Cross Calling at the Yass Soldiers Club on Sunday, March 25.
The branch encourages residents to attend.
“Your support helps Red Cross be there for people at home and overseas, whether it’s standing by someone as they recover from disaster, helping someone get to their hospital appointments when no one else is around, or lending a hand to newly arrived migrants,” Yass Red Cross member Helen Nesbitt said.
There are many ways to get involved with Red Cross Calling and show support for people experiencing hardship.
You can support the local event, register your own fun activity online (redcrosscalling.org.au), make a donation online or by telephone (1800 RED CROSS).
