The workshop, run by Small Farms Network Capital Region, will have plenty of useful information combined with hands-on sessions.

For this workshop, there will be a practical handling session with sheep, paddock walk and a disease recognition and prevention presentation.

There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and talk to a vet.

Our guest speakers are Dr Kate Sawford from South East Local Land Services and Dr Natasha Lees from Scibus Pty Ltd.

Based in Braidwood for the past three years, Kate Sawford is a District Veterinarian for South East Local Land Services.

She has a special interest in animal disease surveillance, veterinary public health and helping farmers to improve animal health outcomes on their farms.

Natasha Lees is a senior associate at Scibus Pty Ltd, a cattle consultancy company based in Camden where she works with farmers and industry to improve farmer knowledge about animal health and financial management.

As well as sharing her expertise in cattle health, Ms Lese will be leading a disease recognition session at the workshop.

This event will be held at a sheep-breeding property and is an opportunity to learn practical skills that will make a big difference to your farm.

Tickets cost $ 15.00 per person, which includes morning tea and lunch.

This event is the last in the Small Farms Network Capital Region current workshop series.
