For this reason, Andrology Australia is using Men’s Health Week in June to encourage all men to start a conversation about their health and wellbeing with someone they trust.
During Men’s Health Week (June 11-17), Andrology Australia encourages men around the country to organise a display of resources for your workplace or primary health care setting, run a men’s health event, host a barbecue or link into a local sporting or cultural event.
Having a chat to someone in your family, a mate at work, in the men’s shed, at band practice or the local sporting club, can stop a minor problem turning into something bigger. The simple act of sharing a concern can turn someone’s life around. Andrology Australia is urging all men to talk about any aspect of their health by building a campaign around the week.
This Men’s Health Week is all about looking for opportunities to encourage men in your community and engage in healthy conversations. But don’t wait, you can start the conversation today by joining the campaign.
It’s healthy to talk and important to remind men in the community that they are not alone. Many men experience problems with their reproductive health, and these can be linked to more serious problems, like heart disease, diabetes, anxiety and depression but they often ignore the symptoms.
