Ms Webster, who completed a Certificate III in Business Administration at TAFE NSW Yass in 2017, was announced as the winner of the prestigious Campus Student of the Year Award.
The announcement was made at a gala awards ceremony in Wollongong.
Ms Webster said the award was a surprise.
“Among my colleagues, I see others who also deserve it, so this award is for all those alongside me who worked hard,” she said.
Ms Webster said the support from her family was key.
“I had the support at home from my husband. As well as studies, I have two boys, so he’s been really supportive.”
She also thanked the Yass TAFE campus and the teachers, particularly Cheryl Walker.
“Cheryl is so supportive and non-judgemental – always very encouraging,” Ms Webster said.
After her Certificate III, she obtained the role of secretary at St Augustine’s Church, Yass.
In the classroom, she was a kind and considerate student who was always willing to reach out and help others.

“I was a stay-at-home for six months and now I have this position, so it’s been great,” she said.
She is also studying a Certificate IV in Business Administration. Moving forward, she said her plans included a diploma.
Ultimately, she wants to have a career in school or community counselling.
TAFE NSW regional general manager Kerry Penton commended Ms Webster and other winners for setting a benchmark in their chosen areas of study and helping inspire other students to follow suit.
“These awards recognise our most passionate, industrious and skilful students, and the fact that TAFE NSW teachers have endorsed the student’s hard work and achievements, makes it even more special,” Ms Penton said.
“I have no doubt these students will go on to forge highly successful careers.”
TAFE NSW teacher Cheryl Walker said Ms Webster showed perseverance and dedication to her studies.
“In the classroom, she was a kind and considerate student who was always willing to reach out and help others.”
As for advice, Ms Webster said the key was to embrace fear.
“It means you really want to do it. TAFE is a good base to start no matter where you want to go,” she said.
